Galla Chinensis Extract

Galla chinensis, a Chinese medicine. It is a gall on the leaves of Rhus chinensis Mill. or Rhus potaninii Maxim. or Rhus punjabensis Stew. var. chinensis (Bell) Baker. It is distributed in Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shaanxi and Guangxi. It has the effect of astringing the lung and lowering fire, astringing the intestines and stopping diarrhoea, astringing sweat, stopping bleeding, and collecting dampness and astringent sores. It is often used for coughs with lung deficiency, coughs with lung heat and phlegm, diarrhoea and dysentery, spontaneous sweating and night sweating, thirst, blood in the stool and haemorrhoids, bleeding from trauma, carbuncles and sores, and dampness of the skin.

Galla Chinensis Extract has the following effects:Galla Chinensis Extract contains relative amounts of ellagic acid, gallic acid, and tannic acid. It has nearly 20% gallic acid and is also rich in other gallotannins and their isomers. Galla Chinensis Extract also contains relative amounts of inorganic compounds such as Calcium and Zinc. Galla Chinensis Extract is a dietary supplement ingredient that has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine for muscle pain. In modern medical research, Galla Chinensis Extract is later discovered that the active ingredients in Galla Chinensis Extract may play an important role in cancer control and management.
